The Social Democrat Party (PSD) is considering Prime Minister Albin Kurti's pledge, which had said during the election campaign that reciprocity vis-à-vis Serbia, will be a matter of weeks. While now it has become a month of government formation, which still for reciprocity has not been decided by the executive.
PSD chairmanship member Zgjim Hyseni, in an interview for Online Economy said the Government will go into dialogue without any conditions, which according to him is giving up on previous positions.
“As far as dialogue with Serbia is concerned, we can now say that we are on the day when we can say that we are dealing with the government's first lie or we can say that we are on the day that the government itself has promised in the election campaign and that if you remember Kurti himself has said that the reciprocity issue is a matter of weeks and not months now has passed since the government was formed and we don't. The government has to go into dialogue without any condition that it is giving up its previous” stances.
Hyseni has had constant criticism of government management of the Coronavirus situation in the country. He said the lack of human consideration has been shown to the people, when, at the moment, there has been a tightening of government-member measures, they have been seen in Albania campaigning, which, according to him, the Government has left Kosovo in second place.
“The management of the pandemic situation by the current government has spread a lot of irresponsibly even into the wrong policies, and if we see the way the measures are decided and then removed this shows that the measures have been without a kind of connection with the subject of the issue and then the way the measures were removed and the reason for the removal of measures related to the relationship to public opinion, so the current government has spoken more about citizens' access than the real state of public health. For this situation and an increase in the number of infected people there is a causal link to the election campaign, adding then that these have shown a total lack of human consideration of the moment when specific measures have been imposed and we have seen them engaged in Albania, these have left Kosovo in second plan”.
“ ... we're not surprised at how these metries were brought up when they spread without responsibility and the postponement of contracts, and we've already said that one of the problems Kosovo has to have come up with as a derivative of a kind of ideology that produces authoritarianism and one of the problems we've had with the freedom of expression”, he told EO.
Hyseni has also spoken of the concept of confiscating the unwarranted property government approved last week, which he says is a symptom of the deviation.
This shows the first signs of what an ideology produces that is itself a combination that we don't know which kind of people would be the concrete expressions of this ideological item that are on one side of Bolshevism but without historical context and on the other, a kind of population that is present all the time”.
“We have said even earlier that when the anti-corruption fight becomes the main cause of the ideological plan it's just a symptom of a certain kind of deviation and the anti-corruption fight is the way you don't talk about the economy. When we analyze the document itself that we've seen it and read it here, some things are first observed by Government through that concept plan that the new Agency, which has to find out the wealth of public officials, but even citizens in a way are getting gears that are anti-unconstitutional, where it says this agency should monitor the lifestyle of public officials and get information”
