Gjilan's chairman reiterated that each MP has the right to vote freely.
Each member of the chairmanship has a right to express his position, so each MP at the session will express his opinion. That is a question to address to party deputies, no LDK deputy stands apart. We have a unique stance like the LDK, and our deputies are free to express their position by vote. The LDK has always given the country institutional stability, besides Vjosa Osmani, the second name has not yet been declared”, Haziri said.
Haziri said MP Agim Veliu exercises his role as deputy very well.
No one better than Agim Veliu can exercise the role of a deputy in the constitutional spirit. Tendence is to divide politics, but in that spirit the LDK will remain unique, domestic democracy in the LDK is worth”, he said.
The candidate for the presidential post is Vjosa Osmani, who in the February 14th elections competed with the Vetevendosje Movement MP list, winning over 300 thousand votes.
On March 22nd, 2021 was introduced to the new Parliament, and the same day was elected the new government of Kosovo to head with Albin Kurti of Vetevendosje Movement. His government was backed by 67 deputies.
For the president's election, in the first two votes, two-thirds of the vote is needed, and it beats 80 votes for MPs.
Meanwhile, in the third round, president is elected who gets the simple majority of 61 MPs, but in all three votes at least 80 MPs should participate.
If even the third round fails, the country goes to extraordinary elections that should be held within 45 days.
The LVV has 58 seats in the assembly, while the Democratic League of Kosovo has 15.
