“was a meeting because Kosovo has not yet managed to secure a contract for vaccines. What we've received so far is 24 thousand doses of AstraZeneca vaccine taken through the COVAX mechanism, that is, a donation to the republic of Kosovo”, Haxhiu said.

Kosovo's “government, neither this present nor past, has managed to secure a contract for vaccines”, he further said.

Haxhiu also showed how he could link a contact with the Pfizer-Bitonech company through Albanian doctors and businessmen around the world.

He said he has created a bridge to secure 500,000 to 3 million Pfizer vaccines.

I have contacted the associations of Albanian doctors in Europe and diaspora and more influential people, successful businessmen, and through them we have managed to provide 500 thousand to 3 million doses of Pfizer vaccines. I have also offered these contacts to the Health Ministry to continue on for the final contract”, he said.

According to him, within three days ministers must contact the company to continue talks and implement a contract.
