Minister Albulen Haxhiu, MP Pal Lekaj and former officials, Donika Kadaj-Bujupi and Besa Battiu, will be brought to justice today in the case of tear gas throwing into the Kosovo Assembly spaces.
The indictment, set up on April 8, 2016, states that on February 19, 2016, around 12:20 in the Kosovo Parliament hall, after a pause in the construction of the Parliament, while the accused were returning to the hall during the search by the security workers of the Parliament, had been found and seized by a tear tank, which they held without authorization.
All this has to do with the time when opposition parties at the time, the Vetevendosje Movement (LVV), the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo(AAK) and the Social Democrat Initiative opposed the Kosovo-Montenegro demarcation and the foundation of the Serbian Major Commission Association.
For these actions, the four indictees are suspected to have each separately committed criminal work “ownership, control or unauthorized possession of weapons” by Article 374, paragraph 1 of KPRK.
While six times the hearing has failed. The sixth session, held April 1st, failed since the accused said they were no longer equipped with evidence on the subject paperwork.
We remember that the judge of this case was Judge Naim Krasniqi-Jashnica, but after it was passed by the Randa Crime Department in the General Department, this case will now be tried by Judge Fatime Dermaku.
