MP Bekim Haxhiu's PDK asks the government to know when Pfizer vaccines in Kosovo will come.
He says that citizens of the region can choose 2-3 types of vaccines.
He writes:
The Kurti 2 government has rejected vaccines from Albania, while the Kurti 1 government had accepted 1,000 tests from Serbia produced in Russia.
Will we have Pfizer vaccines in Kosovo and when they come?
We should have an answer from the government.
The countries of the region have managed to provide 2-3 types of vaccines, and their citizens can determine which ones they want to vaccinate, while the Kosovo government does not have adequate access to the process.
The vaccines are not provided with phone messages, nor with an apology and a tacit talk, but with jobs, with direct contacts and bilateral agreements with vaccine producers or friendly states that can help us in this process.
According to Law No. 07/ L-006
For the prevention and combating of COVID-19.
The government of the Republic of Kosovo is obliged to provide enough vaccines against the COVID-19 virus for all citizens.
The Ministry of Health in co-operation with the IKSHPK is also obliged to approve the state vaccination programme in the Republic of Kosovo.
Minister Vitita needs to put off talk and contact Albania's Health Minister and vaccine production companies to provide vaccines for Kosovo citizens.
As MP and member of the Parliamentary Commission for Health, I am willing to contribute 24 hours to help the MSH provide vaccines for Kosovo citizens.
