Ex-Deputer of the Golden “”, Giannis Lagos is placed in house arrest in Brussels following a European arrest warrant issued against him.
A day earlier, the European Parliament stripped him of his immunity after being sentenced to 13 years and eight months in prison for “the leadership of a criminal organisation” during the trial of the neo-Nazi party “Golden Agim”.
The Greek “Eurodeput will be transferred for 48 hours to the detention facilities of a police station in Belgium and will then be brought before a judge who will decide whether or not to extradite him to Greece”, CNN.gr, reports the ATS.
Lagos himself wrote on Twitter: “I'm in a Belgian police vehicle. Thiefs, atheists, and anti-Greeks are sending me to jail. I remain loyal to Christ and Greece”
