The Commission for Supervision of the Kosovo Agency for Intelligence has recommended the Government of Kosovo that, in the nearest term, appoint the AKI director, the institution that has been without a boss since December last year.
As soon as we say, let's not be urgent because we're not putting in ultimatums, selecting the new AKI director. It is regulated that it cannot be in the longer term than 20 days without director”, commission head Ganimete Musliu said.
She said leaving the AKI director's position for so many months is, risking national security.
This requirement comes at the Commission's first constitutional meeting for AKI oversight.
