Minister Vitita at a media conference, said the negotiating commission is negotiating with producers of approved vaccines to receive as many vaccines as possible. The “E know, I'm aware it's too much to ask because we've waited long enough, but what I can guarantee is that the negotiating team for vaccine insurance is a professional and dedicated team, as well as has made considerable progress. Every act of mine and the commission is in accordance with the law but, above all, with public health interest, respecting all the demands of the company to provide vaccines. That's why they'll convince you about it soon --“, he said.
Minister Vitita argued the decision on the measures taken 11 days ago, where schools, gastronomia, shopping centers, and others were closed, which he described as super strainers of the virus because of the gathering of many people in closed spaces.
“This was a proper action, needed to control a status quo and get out of control, which threatened the collapse of the health system. On the other hand was a necessary action to control the growth that we now have in relation to the distribution of the virus and the mobilization of institutional monitoring mechanisms, but not only this is the common struggle and success depends on the actions of each of us”, he said.
Vitia also announced that at MS, the team has been set up to review the guide against Covid-19 and that the public health institute has been asked to prepare the new plan for testing.
The “Negotiations with the vaccine production companies are continuing and are on track. The vaccine process is continuing and by May, it will intensify by May, with the arrival of new vaccines. The situation before April 7th has been and remains unacceptable, hospitalisation and death can and should be avoided through measures, institutional guidelines in times of health emergencies, ...12.05 ... we are partially removing restrictions but adding instructions, so an opening that if not respected, then we will be forced to return restrictions. Citizens in front of the virus have very little choice, or rigorous respect for guidelines and protocols or restrictive measures and isolation. We should aim first as joint obligation and commitment. Points with the greatest risk of distribution still remain gastronomia, shopping malls and schools, so even greater care, as well as inspections and supervision, should be in these environments“, he said.
He also stopped at public discussion about negotiations with companies on obtaining vaccines, stressing that he has not refused to sign any documents that would bring vaccines.
