Government approves concept-document for seizure of unwarranted property

The justice ministry has initiated the document concept for property acquired unwarrantably, shortcomings and problems that exist in this area. “It is not required once to punish the person with condemnation and then initiate seizure procedures against him. This law will be implemented before declaring independence. This law will protect public interest, in terms that public wealth remains of citizens”, the same added.

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has also spoken of this document.

“Draft concept deals with three key options, the status quo without any change, improving implementation of legal creation without legislative changes, the option that has addressed problems if it is impossible to provide new legal grounds, and recently drafting the new law on the seizure of property. After the analysis, the option for adopting the law is estimated to be more appropriate to address problems identified”, he said.
