Gjilan marks 22th anniversary of the Zegoci Battle

With homazhes at the cemetery of the martyrs and at the Lapidari in Zhegoc, Gjilan municipal institutions, led by the Parliament's leader, the Kurteshi-Emini Hope, have marked today the 22nd anniversary of the Battle of Geroci.

Former Commander The KLA in the Karadaku Operative Zone, Ahmet Isufi, said the battle of Zegoci is listed as one of the most glorious battles in this area, which has brought about the days of freedom.

Meanwhile, the Director for Culture, Youth and Sports, Deniz Limani, has said that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they have not been able to organise memorial academys, the Kosovo Clan broadcasts.

Eight KLA soldiers were killed at the Zegoci battle: Pajazi Ahmeti, Alban Ajeti, Hanumshahe Abdullah, Tefik Zymberi, Sahit Battiu, Sahin Battiu, Kastriot Battiu, Nyazi Osmani, and 18 civilians. In the village of Slovenian, 49 civilians were killed.
