Gjakova's husband stabbed his ex-wife eight times in front of the children, requesting custody of him

According to the prosecution, he deliberately attempted to deprive his wife of life by beating her eight times with a knife, on her neck, chest, ribs, and hands.

After the injuries she received, she was sent for medical treatment to Gjakova Regional Hospital.

The prosecutor reports that the case occurred on March 31, 2021, at the city park in Gjakova, where the defendant deliberately tried to deprive his wife of life, injured R.J., hitting him eight times with a knife, on the neck, chest, ribs and hands. The same injuries received have been sent to the Gjakova Regional Hospital for medical treatment.

The case occurred in the presence of their two children, where the defendant then leaves the scene of the” event, it is said in the communique.

The Constitutional Prosecutor in Gjakova has applied to the competent Court in Gjakova for the appointment of the detention measure, against the M.J. defendants, on suspicion that the same had committed criminal work “severe attempted murder of”.
