400 seedlings for Meya's 400 martyrs have planted the Gjakova municipality on Thursday to mark Earth Day.
The first Fidan was planted by the mayor of the municipality, Ardian Gjini, who expressed happiness in the activities being held to mark this day.
Djind of a proposal for the media recalled that the Meya massacre is the largest that took place in Kosovo, while adding that today's action is symbolic to mark this day.
He said they chose the belt to plant it at the Meja Memorial complex because of their life expectancy.
“We are at the memorial in Meja, it is the biggest massacre that has occurred in Kosovo. We're planting sand, planting seed bodies as symbolic but, at the same time, part of the environmental adjustment. We'll have other activities today”, he said.
He also spoke of the “Gra for Pure Gjakova, which was launched on April 2nd.
We've started a few days, it's annual now. I'm very pleased with the work my colleagues are doing in organization, with co-operation with schools, with the police, with KFOR, with KSK with everyone. He's got extraordinary Jehogues, he's got exactly what the activity itself is. So I'm happy on this day for all activities that are taking place”, Djind said.
Next event “to clear the script”, set before today is expected to start at 12 o'clock.
