German Minister for Europe Michael Roth has said that sending 651,000 vaccines to the Western Balkans, except that the need is evidence and solidarity.

“The EU will distribute 651,000 doses of vaccines to Western Balkan countries. This is just an urgent need, but also a demonstration of solidarity and the team spirit. We can only protect our citizens if neighbouring EU countries increase the amount of vaccines, also”, wrote Roth on Twitter.

Earlier, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyeen has announced that 95,000 doses of EU-funded vaccines expected to come from May until the end of August.
