FSHK after lowering extensions for health workers: Redouble the Budget

From this Federation have said that the amount shared by 100 euros and 150 euros is offensive to health workers.

So the head of this Federation has demanded doubling the health budget, forming the Commission between the Ministry of Health and F. SSHK for the establishment of a sublegal act for additional payables until the conclusion of the COVID-19 Pandemia and the prosecution of the Law on Salaries for the public sector.

The Federation of Kosovo Health Unions expresses its deep disappointment over the Government's decision of 21.04.2021 to No. of prot. 0908 in terms of sharing additional means for paying health sector extensions for April and May 2021.

This decision has been violated by law No.07/ L-006 for the prevention and combat of the COVIID-19 Pandemia on the territory of the Republic of Kosovo, Article 20 paragraph 2 which stipulates that by means of the sublegal act released by the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, the height of the sum is determined, benefits categories and the duration of compensation of the additional health workers engaged in public health institutions.

We consider that this divided sum is offensive and degrading to health workers, and this shows best how Pandemi's fighters are being treated by the Government of the Republic of Kosovo.

If we talk about sharing these additions, we have discrimination because it didn't have to have the national-technical staff getting 100 euros, but 150 euros like everyone else will.

So the chief of the FSSHK at the meeting held today by 22.04.2021 requires the Government of the Republic of Kosovo as follows:

1. Double the health budget for management of health services during this period of COVID-19;

2. Building Commission Between the Ministry of Health and F SSHK for the release of a sublegal act for additional payables until the end of the COVID-19 Pandemia.

3. The strategic plan for population vaccination for the next six months is to be transparent and effective in order to achieve mass communication;

4. On behalf of the urgent equality to proceed with the Law on Salaries for the Public Sector.

The Federation of Kosovo Health Unions will carefully submit these requests addressed to the Government, and after 100 days of governance will take conform actions.

Finally FSSHK, based on Prime Minister Kurti's stance that no decision will be taken without union involvement, expresses its readiness for co-operation.

We announce the broad opinion of how tomorrow we will start addressing these requirements from the president of the Republic of Kosovo. Vjosa Osmani Sadriu, Parliament Speaker of the Republic of Kosovo Mr. Glauk Konjufca, Kosovo Republic Prime Minister Mr. Albin Kurti, the Parliamentary Commission for Health, all parliamentary groups represented in the Parliament of the Republic of Kosovo and all relevant athletes.
