The United States has indeed revived their activity to help India”, Fauci said, adding that his country is sending oxygen, Remdesivir, personal protective equipment and other medical products to the Asian state. More vaccines are expected to be sent soon.
I think it's a responsibility that rich states should take. Right now it's a terrible, tragic situation where people are dying because there's enough oxygen in there, where there's not enough beds in hospitals”, Fauci said.
We're all together in this. It's an interrelated world and it's responsible that countries share, especially if you're a rich country and you're dealing with countries that don't have the resources or capacities that you have”, the American infectious expert added.
According to him, global health systems should be updated so that their problems can be identified more quickly. He said transparency and communication among countries is vital, too.
