The fire broke out at one of the farm buildings in Alt Tellin, northeast Germany, but soon spread through the ventilation and destroyed the animal door.
The cause of the fire is unknown, and only about 1,300 pigs were saved. Groups of postal demonstrators “Stop torturing animals” gathered at the scene.
