Former head of EULEX judges Malcolm Simmons has reacted sharply to the actions of the EU's emissary for dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, who, in addition to the map scandal, yesterday in the announced post of the conversation he had with Besnik Bislim, currently deputy prime minister, did not mention Kosovo at all.
Through a Facebook post, Simmons said he does not personally remember any senior European official that Kosovo has referred to “Republic”>, writes the news.net.
He has even said that there are reasons for that, and that is that the EU does not recognise the Republic of Kosovo.
I do not recall any senior EU diplomat referring to the Republic of Kosovo and there is a reason: The EU does not recognise the Republic of Kosovo”, it has written.
Simmons, former EULEX judge, is awaiting an invitation from the Kosovo Assembly to report there on the violations that have been made on this mission.
He made that request much earlier, but since the change of governments has delayed his reporting in the Assembly.
