O ECK: Government priorities must be creating new jobs

Kosovo Economic Ode Chairman Berat Rukiqi at a media conference has talked about the impact of pandemic on local businesses.

He has said that the pandemic and non-support by institutions have reduced the business's goal of boosting the workforce, Periscope notes.

Through research, Rukiqi said that OEK found that while in the fourth quarter of 2019, 23% of the resident companies expected to increase the number of workers, in the fourth quarter of 2020, there were only 12% of these companies that had the same expectations as the previous year.

“I believe employment should be a priority of the Government, given that you know that citizens in polls during the election campaign have asked political parties for the creation of new jobs to be priority”, Rukiqi has said. /Periscopi
