Wilders is head of the Freedom Party, but it seems that practicing religion does not recognise him as basic human freedom. He's an MP in the House of Representatives.
He is best known for opposing Islam and the European Union. His attitudes have made him an inconsistent figure in the Netherlands and abroad. Since 2004, Wilders has been guarded by armed bodyguards.

This MP lobbies against what he describes as the “privatisation of the Netherlands”. He has compared the holy book of Muslims, the Koran, to the book of Germany's Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler, the “Mein Kampf”, and has campaigned for the Koran to be banned in the Netherlands.
In addition to these positions against Islam, MP Wilders calls for the ban on mosque construction in the Netherlands on immigrants.
