The group of naked women who were posers for a photographer last week on a balcony in the Marian area could be seen from surrounding buildings. The images circulated heavily on social networks.
The “The involved individuals will be expelled from the United Arab Emirates. No other comment will be made on the issue”, Dubai General Prosecutor Essam Issa Al Humaidan said through a statement.
The prosecutor's statement does not mention the national affiliation of the women involved, Reuters writes.
Dubai police announced on Saturday that they have arrested persons involved in photography and warned against what they described as unacceptable “behaviors that do not reflect the values and ethics of the Emirates Society”.
Foreigners living in the United Arab Emirates have often been affected by unusual laws for them, including punishments for alcohol consumption and kisses in public.
