Decani leader after warning of measures: No decision made without a preliminary debate

At the time the daily figures of those infected with COVIDD-19 have been warned in Kosovo, the decision will be made from April 6th to April 12th to close gastronomy and shopping centres.

But such a thing is not viewed as a solution by Decani's chairman, as according to him it would thus be severely damaging to the country's economy, including family economies and businesses.

He tells Kosovo Press that a solution must be found to get out of this situation, without going through total closure.

Anyone thinking of making total closures and increasing the number of measures or making more rigorous has had to calculate economically. Economic transition is when the state budget puts it in front of pandemic and management, because it's a long time since businesses and family economies not only in the Decani municipality, but throughout Kosovo do not have the standard they had earlier. And it has taken economically how to deal with these family economies in aid and business, without which neither this city nor the state of Kosovo will make sense, he says.

However, he is willing to implement the decision the Kosovo government makes, even the tightening of gastronomic measures for several days.

“We are representatives of institutions and the decisions that institutions make we should also implement. However, I wish it would not be put to a decision without a preliminary debate and without finding a way to manage this”, he points out.

As for pandemic management, Ramosaj says that so far they have done very well, but that increasing the number of persons infected with the Sars-Cov-2 virus is causing difficulties.

“We are implementing the measures, we are making our tasks as municipalities, and even so, we have an increase in the number that is disturbing. (end) (Pandemia) It's hard to manage because we have families that are even in social scheme, don't look at the financial side, touching everyone, and it's very difficult when someone asks for help and you don't have budgetary opportunities to help out. This is what at this time when you're the manager of a situation is most challenging when you don't have a budgetary opportunity to help someone, he says.

According to the IKSHPK, during the past week (29.03-04.04.2021) in the Decani municipality 56 people have resulted positive with Devov-19, 97 others have been completely healed, while two people have changed their lives as a result of this virus.

In total, 1058 cases of SARS-CoV-2 are identified in the Decani municipality. Of them, 859 completely healed, 28 have lost their lives and 171 active cases.
