Telegrafi learns that the agreement between Kurti and MP Hoxha was reached moments ago at a meeting held between them in Pristina.
Although the details of the deal have not been disclosed, officials from the Uniche of the Granes Party have announced about Telegrafi, that MP Hoxha has reflected, given the serious situation in which the country is in as a result of the pandemic.
Because of the serious situation with the pandemic and the economy, and not wanting to block institution creation we don't want to take the country to elections. Therefore, we will participate in the session where it will be voted for the election of President”, the official of this party for Telegrafi has said.
According to the same sources Saturday, a meeting was held between Hoxha and Kurti, but no agreement had been reached, that this MP would attend the session where he would be voted for Kosovo president, as Kurti had offered nothing in compensation for the vote.
It is learned that the demands of the leader of the Gorani party to give the candidate for president were modest and concerned certain positions in the government cabinet.
With the vote secured by the Gorani party's deputy, it is expected that 83 MPs will participate in the continuation of the extraordinary session for electing the president, due today at 5:00. While voting in the box is expected to cast 80 of them, as it is now known that three LDK deputies -- Agim Veliu, Avdullah Hoti and Driton Selmanaj -- will not cast their vote in the box, even as they did Saturday.
