Kosovo Customs has announced that the money was intended to enter Kosovo from Macedonia.
In the media communiqué from Kosovo Customs, they say all the money has been confiscated and the case has gone for further investigation.
“At the point the border crossing of Elez's Hani captured undeclared monetary means. Customs officers have discovered a considerable amount of monetary means, which through a passenger vehicle attempted to enter Kosovo without a statement. A vehicle coming from Macedonia has been seized for control, and during the detailed check on the right side in the drawer has been found in three bags, following the opening that undeclared monetary means of 28,310.00 euros have been found. All vehicles have been confiscated and the case has continued for further investigation.
