He said that in Kosovo there is strong will to end this kind of corruption, until he says that every widow to investigate people's unwarranted wealth is in accordance with the law, so to have the right process and to have political neutrality.
So I believe that in Kosovo there is strong will to end this type of corruption. At the same time it is very important that any action to investigate people's unwarranted wealth be done in accordance with the law, to have the right process, have political neutrality.
People who make decisions about investigating unwarranted property should not do so with political motivation. So the police, the prosecution, the others who might be involved should be totally neutral with this. But I will say that there are people in Kosovo where they would certainly be very happy if such investigations were not made. I think the country deserves more than that”, Costnett said.
He added that it is fair that lawyers, analysts and other leaders react to this law, while he says it is beneficial that Kosovo's prime minister gave this idea of the law about the seizure of illegal property.
I think it's completely inappropriate that the analatic lawyers and other leaders react to it. I don't have any legal opinion on this except that I think it's useful that the prime minister put this idea together and now everyone has to react to it and that's something where the consensus about the best way to go. I say sesesus, but really some people will never accept that. But I think most of Kosovo's political leaders realise that it's time to stop talking about fighting Celtic corruption and it's time for action.
It may take some time to reach the point where you can really progress in this relationship or some other option. I think it's important that this debate start now”, he added to Rubikon.
The adoption of this law was the electoral promise of the winning election party, the Vetevendosje Movement.
For this, the Kurti Government, at the meeting two days ago, adopted the concept of the document confiscating unwarranted property, which paves the way for drafting the law. Justice experts claim that a good law on confiscating property can produce results.
