At this meeting, Minister Vitita and Ambassador Costnet have discussed the situation around COVID-19 in Kosovo, which is estimated to be disturbing and required respect for measures in power, without even excluding the fulfillment of these measures with others, given the progress of the epidemic situation in the country.
The meeting is stressed that the pandemic has exacerbated the situation, except on the health level, as well as in economic and social.
Minister of Year and Ambassador Costnets have also discussed beginning the vaccine process against COVID-19 in Kosovo and Government and MS commitments for securing other doses in order to achieve a higher coverage of the population with vaccines.
In this respect, Minister Vitita has highly appreciated the assistance of partners and has expressed gratitude to the US, who are one of the leading donors of the global vaccine scheme, COVAX, as well as the permanent contribution to health in Kosovo”, reportedly sent to the media.
Ambassador Costet has stressed that the US through their programmes will continue to be partners of Kosovo institutions in empowering commitments to confront the situation with COVID-19 and ensuring an adequate response to this situation, in order to protect public health of the population in Kosovo.
