US Confirms Support for Kosovo in Security, Defence Sector

Defence Minister Armend Mehaj held today a meeting with US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defence Laura Cooper. In this case, Cooper, congratulated Minister Meheha on the post of defence minister. She promised that the US, through state programmes, will continue its close and powerful partnership with the Ministry of Defence [...]

The ministerial communiqué reportedly thanked Cooper for the congratulations and expressed deep gratitude and gratitude to the US for the irreplaceable support for our country, as well as for the overall achievements of the Ministry of Defence and KSF. Minister Mehaj, on the run, stressed that US-run support has been vital to the realisation of operational capacities and capacities interoperable with the Allied forces of partner countries and NATO members, expressing deep gratitude for the historic possibility of participation of KSF troops in operations abroad by American forces.

At the end both agreed that co-operation between the two countries in the field of defence and security will expand even more into the function of peace, security and regional stability and beyond.

With Cooper, a separate meeting, through video connection, the KSF commander, Lieutenant General Tman Rama, who thanked her for her continued interest and support for the development and advancement of the KSF. For its part, Cooper, expressed her appreciation for the current achievements of the KSF, even though under pandemic conditions, and especially in the process of implementing the KSF Transition Plan. Both agreed that co-operation will be further strengthened in the future in the functioning of KSF's development for its mission's full implementation.
