China's southern technology centre in Shenzhen plans to increase the amount of vehicles with new energy (NEV) to 1 million units by 2025.
The Shenzhen Development and Reform Commission, in Guangdong province, announced that vehicles NEV intends to make up 60 percent of cars registered in the next five years, “Xinhua” quoted.
The city has promised to install 833,000 electric car chargers by 2025 to reduce the range of such equipment service to less than 0.9km in public spaces.
In 2019, Shenzen announced that all buses in the city had been replaced by electric buses to reduce fuel consumption.
