According to Italian media, it is Norbert Feher, known as Igor Rus, who was arrested in December 2017 after committing several murders in Italy and Spain.
The event occurred when prison workers in Dunenas, Spain, were trying to transfer him to Saraguza, where a retrial would be subjected.
He used tablets taken from his cell bathroom to attack some of his employees because he did not want to move to Saraguza, where the trial for his triple murder begins.
Feher had committed two murders -- the first had occurred on April 8, 2017 -- in the provinces of Bologna and Ferrara, for which he was sentenced to life in prison in appeal.
Before he got caught, he killed two Civil Guard agents and a farmer in Spain. He had also seriously injured two other people and has been tried and sentenced to 21 years for the crime.
The five affected persons arrived at the hospital with various steps of injuries, but none of them were in serious condition. After the attack, prison personnel managed to transport him to a section of the prison, where a special unit of Guardia Civil was waiting for him to be transferred.
