Research, by an American-Chinese team, has sparked heated debates over the ethics of these experiments.
Scientists have injected human cells with cells that have the ability to develop into various body tissues, or monkeys, writes the BBC.
The developed embryos were studied for twenty days.
Other mixed embryos, also called Chimeras, have been produced in the past with human cells implanted in sheep and pigs embryos.
Scientists were led by Professor Juan Carlos Izpisua Belmonte by the U.S. Salt Institute, which in 2017 helped create the first human hybrid.
Their work could pave the way for addressing the serious restrictions that exist in transplanted organs and also in helping understand the development of early people, he said.
He stressed that his study, published in Cell magazine, had maintained legal and ethical guidelines.
Some scientists, however, have raised concerns about the experiment, saying that while the embryos were destroyed after 20 days, others could take the job to a higher level.
They have called for a public debate over the implications of the creation of human and partially nonhuman chemicals. /Periscope
