The country's health service has been brought to the brink of survival as new cases of the virus continue to rise, and President Jair Bolsonaro faces sharp criticism for resolving the crisis and resigning top officials this week.
He again criticised the deadlock measures imposed by local governors and mayors yesterday.
We had and have two enemies virus and unemployment! This is reality! We will not solve this problem by staying at home,” said Bolsonaro.
3,800 new deaths and more than 90,000 new Coronavirus cases were reported on Wednesday, and this daily death rate in Brazil makes up about one quarter of all deaths from the world's Coronavirus, reports the BBC.
