MP Blerta Deliu says the prosecution of the election law on this form on the part of the ruling party marks the first foot of the dictatorial cycle on democracy.
She writes:
The completion of the Election Law testifies to the ruling party's disrespect for the will of citizens. Of course, we are not against the reliefs for the diaspora to exercise their right to vote because they are our fellow countrymen and are not the property of any political subject. But the Law for Elections is an fundamental law that defines the democratic development of our society, which the ruling party depreciated for an electoral use.
The quality of a law may stem from the plurality of thought and expertise, but never from the amount of mechanical voting. This law requires widespread public and political debate and a consensus built on arguments.
The procedure of meeting this law in this arbitrary form by the ruling party marks the first foot of dictatorial scheme on representative democracy and the civic right to direct involvement in the country.
