“This is one of the only two photos I have from the Koshara War. Those of us on the front line did not remember to take pictures, and were it not for Rexhep Shehi who had brought a camera from Norway, even this photo would never be taken. This is where I went out with Nehat Shala, who separated from us last year. I was only 20 years old, and Nehat twice as old. Today we remember the beginning of the Kosovo War, the war that finally broke the violent border between the ethnic and territorial body of the Albanian nation.
