“will now be able to move around The EU, but Belgian travellers will undergo very strict monitoring in return”, De Cruo said.
“For travel outside the EU, European rules remain in force”, the prime minister added, the ATS reported.
Monday's April 19th date corresponds to the start of the school year after Easter holidays, for which the Belgian government wanted to avoid as much as possible the trip of its population abroad as in February.
The removal of the ban was expected, especially by air transport sectors and travel agencies seriously affected by the pandemic
