Bekim Colak, former European Integration Minister, spoke of the video which had become viral in social networks in May 2016, where he was seen opening champagne for the recommendation for visa liberalisation.
He has said the opening of champagne has been a holiday for meeting the criteria for visa liberalisation by the European Union.
“Opening champagne has been a holiday for us, because we have met all criteria required by the EU for receiving the recommendation for visa liberalisation. It has been a holiday moment, and citizens should be taught to celebrate at moments of joy. We have at that moment celebrated the fulfillment of our obligations, and whoever insults us is blaming hundreds of officials who worked in this direction“, Colak said in Kosovo Clan, broadcast Periscopi.
He has said that Kosovo has met all criteria for visa liberalisation, but continues not to be considered a state and becomes discrimination against our country.
In all of this process, we have been discriminated against by other states. No state can complain about not fulfilling Kosovo's obligations to receive visa liberalisation“, Colak has said. /Periscopi
