The government, Kurti, has decided to lower the additions of Kosovo pensioners. The government led by the prime minister, Albin Kurti, has given no reason for such a move. And that decision, former finance minister, now PDK deputy, is looking for pain. Democratic Party of Kosovo MP (PDK) Bedri Hamza has commented [...]
Democratic Party of Kosovo deputy Bedri Hamza has commented on Kurti's recent decision to reduce additions to pensioners from 120 to 100.
Hamza for Periscope has said it is a bad decision and that pensions have had to grow, not be reduced.
This is the opposite of what was supposed to happen, which means [retires for] pensions had to grow, not shrink, that if there are categories in Kosovo which are in need and in support are especially old age and that's a bad thing, not right, and actually, we certainly don't agree to”, he said of Periscope.
The former finance minister called for emergency submission legislation regulating the status of pensioners to the Assembly.
“We estimate that the category of pensioners should be supported and urgently brought in legislation regulating and improving their status in society”, he said.
Hamza criticised Kurti Government for even lack of a program, which has so far not been unveiled by the executive at the helm with Albin Kurti.
This government still has no plan, it has not yet told us what its top priority is”, he added.
The decision to lift the additions was met with many reactions from the opposition, who strongly opposed it, as well as pensioners in the country./Periscopi/
