The Austrian government announced today a general reopening of restaurants, hotels and cultural sites in mid-May, six months after their closure.
“We will be able to take measures to reopen in a cautious manner from May 19th”, conservative Chancellor Sebastian Kurz told reporters, ATS.
The “will also be possible to organise public events again with a limit of 1,500 participants within and 3 000 persons outside”, he added.
Since the pandemic's showing, more than 10,000 deaths have been recorded in Austria, which has imposed several impasses.
