Did there be audits at RTK?

Last week has been critical of the leaders of public Radio Television Kosovo not allowing National Office An audit to audit RTK.

But it was the general audience itself, Besnik Osmani, who in June 2020 explained it to MPs. Place, parts of Commission for Transfer Boards, auditing in RTK does not depend either on the will of the television Board or on his personal will, but is the law that appoints an independent audience for auditing the financial mirrors of this public medium.

As seen in the Commission's process dated June 17th of 2020, Osman had shown that they have the same situation with other public institutions in the Kosovo.

“RTK is a legal problem, where we have an article in the Kosovo Radio Television Law, where it says the RTK board assigns an independent audience to audit the financial mirrors of this public media. That doesn't stop us and we don't have any obstacles to making our performance audits. But to become auditing order must be erased from the relevant article in the Law for RTK. We have such a situation with several other public institutions. We have the case with the Pension Fund, where audited by the independent audience, but applied to be audited by the national audit office voluntarily”, Osmani had announced a year earlier in the Commission.

Also open to co-operation were the directors of public media, and this is evidenced even through communications the director of Displacement Kastrati has had with the Auditor's Office since 2019.

Kastrati says they are open even now for co-operation, always based on law. He says that in the 1920s, the National Auditor was in RTK, but I don't know why this institution has never publicized the documents.

“Nani 37 of the law for RTK says monitoring event RTK's is carried out by the bodies authorised for such a thing by law and the Statuti. The point 3 of this article says that in addition to the individuals authorised to seek responsibility on behalf of members of the law-defined management and supervisory bodies, the Kosovo Assembly is also authorised to seek such a responsibility”, Kastrati points out.

Open for co-operation with the National Auditor and the Assembly as the founder of RTK was declared the previous day even the Public Radio Television Board.

Meanwhile next week, before Commission on Transferts Three-month spending report expected to come up for vote RTK's until the agenda point will also be vehicle aloation for the next quarter as defined by law.
