AP reports the La Prese agency's writing that a police officer was injured in today's clashes, where hundreds of demonstrators who were looking for the government allowed them to work again.
Security forces intervened after protesters tried to break the police cordon and that members of the far-right groups were among those involved in the riots.
Voicing solidarity with the injured police, Italy's Interior Ministry Undersecretary Carlo Sibilia said in a written statement that no violence would be tolerated, according to the AP.
Restaurants, bars and cafes in Italy are closed at least by the end of April, and they are allowed only through sales at the bar or delivery service.
