The Association of Independent Electronic Media of Kosovo (AMPEK) has reacted to the events held following Gazeta Insander's publication.

This association estimates that interviewing Insider journalists with the purpose of discovering their source is a flagrant violation of the Law on Protection of Journalists' Resources and the right to media freedom.

“Procurory and police have no right to seek out journalists' sources without court orders. The AMPEK calls on competent bodies to urgently initiate disciplinary procedures against officials who have misused their authorisations by thus violating the Journal's Resources Protection Act”.

Their response reportedly that pressure on media and journalists and preventing the practice of profession are totally unacceptable in democracy.
