The investigation comes after eight workers and former workers of Amnesty International in the United Kingdom described their experiences of racial discrimination and issued a statement urging high figures to withdraw.

The internal report of Amnesty International Secretariat recorded many examples of workers who had reported racism, including:
-The high standard using the letter with the letter N [which is not even allowed to be placed here] and the word P [that is not allowed as well], with colleagues labeled as “extremely sensitive” if they complain.
- Systemic prejudice, including questioning black staff constantly and without justification, and with the staff of ethnic minorities feeling powerless and marginalised in projects.
- A lack of conscience or sensitivity for religious practices that led to questionable comments and behavior.
