3588869 Albanian citizens were eligible today to elect 140 deputies in the new Assembly and the government that will lead the country for the next four years. There are 13 parties in the race and in some counties several independent candidates.
Turnout was quite high. By 6:00 CEC reported that out of 1654 polling stations that have information from 5199 to total, citizens who have voted are 45.48%, which is expected to increase after data processing by 7:00, but also until the last citizen vote.
The voting process in general today was calm. Senior state leaders and parties voted in the morning with calls to citizens to follow suit. /abcnews
