Year: Most AK recommendations to be taken into account for new measures

The municipalities are seeking and recommending the removal of the curfew, and the removal of measures taken for gastronomy.

While, from the Kosovo Communist Association, they have indicated that Minister Vitita has told them that about 90 percent of their recommendations will be taken into account.

The municipalities today have held a meeting organised by the Ministry of Local Power (MPL) and the Health Ministry (MSH) concerning the pandemic situation.

This meeting comes after yesterday's meeting of the Council of Speakers within the Kosovo Communist Association to assess the current pandemic situation in municipalities with the Covis-19 virus, where it has also come up with Communist recommendations.

Mr. MPL's minister opened the meeting. Elbert Krasniqi, while the purpose of the meeting, told MSH Minister Mr. Arben Vitita, who said we want to consult with the mayors of the municipalities regarding the current measures and future steps in this direction.

The head of the Kosovo Communists Association, Mr. Imri Ahmeti in his address briefed the two ministers on the Council of Speakers meeting.

Mayor Ahmeti said yesterday all the mayors of the municipalities have agreed to deal with these recommendations: 1. Governments have a priority in vaccinating the population, 2. The municipalities are looking for and recommending the removal of a three-hour curfew. The municipalities recommend and require that gastronomial measures be withdrawn and require gastronomials to apply physical distance guidelines even through tables, 4. The municipalities demand that the Law on Pandemia be amended, 5. It is required by the Government to implement the latest package of economic support and start with a new support package, 6. Have co-operation and co-ordination of activities between the central and local levels in preserving public and economic health, 7. Co-operation between the central and local inspectorate is not at the right level. This co-operation must be empowered to implement measures in order to preserve public health.

Mr. President. Arben Vitita said we need to be careful in all steps since the situation is very serious, so we need a co-operation and co-ordination among all acts in order to maintain public health but not harm even the sectors of the economy.

Minister Vitita said he believes that 90 per cent of the recommendations Kosovo Communist Association has issued at the meeting with the Council of Mayors will be taken into account in decisions on future measures.

The mayors of the municipalities, where they have supported the Council of Speakers' recommendations, have also discussed this meeting, always maintaining public health, respecting measures but not damaging the specific sectors of the economy.
