Activator PSD) writes letter from Serbian prison: Thank you for everything.

Municipal adviser from PSD ranks Blerim Macastena, who has been staying at Serbia's Prokuple detention centre since December last year, has written letters to his Podujevo Assembly colleagues. He has said he felt extremely good when he read to him the processes of the extraordinary meeting held in January, dedicated to his arrest by Serbian police. Through this letter, he has asked his colleagues for commitment, honesty and good work for the municipality.

On January 6, 2021, my family visited me. Thanks to my friends at the end of March, I secured the sessions of the Communist Assembly (even though they spent five days in court control). I gladly read each of you talks. I heard your greetings and congratulations. I saw the unique devotion of each of you. I felt the emotions of talking to friends and friends about their friend. I know my case has touched the feelings of many citizens across the country, especially those I know and recognize. I've felt really bad at first, but I'm feeling right now, I apologize to everyone”

Macastena wrote that each week she receives dozens of encouraging messages from her boyfriend and that even though she is away, she has said that she never feels alone.

Until now, the prison authorities have a correct approach to me, I'm healthy, I know these two things are of greater interest to you. My family regularly visit me once a week. Also Kosovo's ambassador to Belgrade, Mr. Jetish Yashhar visits me once a month. Both sides inform me of the developments in the country. Dear friends and wives, I want you to be honest at work, good jobs for the community, and commitment to the country, and I like you health and all the good things in life. Your friend, on the other hand, remains to stay the way he looks, as he was educated by family and society”, has written Blerim Macastena.

He and his friend Berat Mejuani (the last one has been released on 14,12,2020), were arrested on December 12, 2020, in the vicinity of the village of Mirofc in Podujevo. They had walked that day, but according to the police, because of the mist, they were able to wander and get inside Serbian territory.

In January, Podujevo municipal advisers have taken the decision to help PSD adviser Blerim Macasastena's family with 6 thousand euros. This decision had been made unanimously by all municipal advisers at an extraordinary meeting.

The initiator of this session, independent adviser Tringa Sfishta, has said the reason they called this meeting is because, as she has said, of the total silence on the part of all of our country's leading institutions about this case. It had proposed 5 thousand euros, but the VV adviser had demanded that it allocate 6 thousand euros to the Macastena family. In the local elections of 2017, he had competed for municipal councilors under the VV Sign, but after the departure of several officials from this party, Macastena was listed in the PSD.
