(5 years ago)Former soldier of KLA, Peter Shala, who has already been transferred to The Hague on Thursday, is suspected of war crimes. In the indictment containing revisions published by the Special Court, Shala, known in war as “Wyku”, is suspected that along with several other KLA members had kept isolated at the [...] factory.
In the indictment, which contains revisions published by the Special Court, Shala, known in war as “Ujku”, is suspected that along with several other KLA members had kept isolated at the metal factory in Kukes some persons without regular legal process, treating them in inhumane form.
Two others are mentioned in this indictment, Sabit Geci and Dzemish Krasniqi.
“They were kept in improvised cells guarded by armed guards, cuffed and connected, seized travel documents and money and submitted to acts of cruel treatment and torture,” said in this indictment.
“Wick” allegedly employed psychic and physical violence by threatening them to death and questioning them.
These works were allegedly carried out between 17 May and 5 June 1999.
Sabit Geci had been sentenced to 15 years for war crimes against the civilian population even by the District Court in Mitrovica. /Periscope
