Abdixhiku commemorates Sali Cekane on 22nd anniversary of the fall

“Today, we remember Sali Cekaj, Kosovo's hero, on the twenty-twoth anniversary of his fall in the Battle of Kosare, whose work we preserve as the political and national heritage for Kosovo's freedom and statehood. His political resistance began through activity in the Democratic League of Kosovo, along with President of History Dr. Ibrahim Rugova. At the time he needed most of our country, he, with rifles in his hand, joined the KLA ranks in Kostunica and thus, became Kosovo's immortal hero”, Obadiah said.

He also says “Rare intellectual Sali Cekay, a high-caliber lawyer, and military, was forced by the Serbian occupation regime to leave Kosovo, but his activity never stopped. As deputy head of the LDK branch in Germany, he became an excellent organiser of Albanians to help materially and politically free Kosovo. Sali Chakaj with his work and dedication, by politician and visionary military, will remain in the pedestal of our history forever. Eternal glory the life and work of Kosovo Hero Sali Cekaj!” has remembered Obadiah.
