The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo is demanding that the necessary amount of vaccines be secured as soon as possible, and the plan to manage the vaccine is made public. This party, providing 20 thousand doses of vaccine, is considering “a drop of water at sea”. Even criticism is about closing down bars, since they say it is meaningless when movement is free.
Alliance for the Future of Kosovo MP Shemsedin Dresaj said additional doses of the vaccine against COVID-19 should be provided. According to him, at the time of the country's closure, over 15 thousand citizens have only moved towards Albania yesterday. and also state officials left the country during yesterday.
“At the time of closing gastronomy, at the time when 15 thousand people were vaccinated abroad, where over 15 thousand citizens went towards Albania, we as AAK ask the government, ask Minister Vitita to provide the necessary amount of human vaccines in the short term. We demand that the arrangement for pandemic management and the vaccine management be made public. We demand that immediately and without delay the previous budget be used to buy vaccines”, he said.
Dressaj has recommended that Health Minister Arben Vitita co-ordinate forces with the preliminary ministers of this dictatorship in order to co-operate in managing this situation.
At a time when we have such free movement with high-registering countries, it means that the closure of the premises in Kosovo does not make any sense. As far as the vaccine plan is concerned, I think it should become public, not remain like a package that is talked about from time to time which segment is more favoured... 20 thousand vaccines are a drop of water at sea. I don't think there's been a union of forces to promote vaccine and provide vaccine”, Dreshai added.
And, AAK leadership member Iliriana Gafurri demanded that there be transparency in the vaccine plan because she feels there are complaints about the few doses spread over the vaccine.
“Brend 60 days to have second doses for those currently vaccinating. Therefore, it is urgent and endorse for vaccines to be secured as soon as”, it added.
Currently in Kosovo, vaccination of persons over the age of 85 and those with chronic diseases is under way. While after the 13th of this month, she will be coming with those over 80 years of age.
