Pristina Health Director Bujar Gashi says that during this period in the capital, the number of positive persons is enormous.
About 3 thousand and 400 active cases so far, which is an extremely large number, you know that in January we have about 1000 active cases now is the largest number of active cases”, said the Health Director in Pristina.
Gashi says that at the Family Medicine Centre in the neighbourhood “Emshire” the trend of patients seeking treatment is almost the same since early March. He points out that within the day, between 300 and 400 patients are receiving services at the center.
“Family Medicine Centre number 7 continues to hold a status status of approximately the same situation that requires treatment at the center where approximately 300 to 400 citizens seek help at this center within the day that has been ongoing throughout March was probably the 5-6th of March and toward the end of April, it has been almost every date, or every day it has been with these values where 300 to 400 have been brought in after 470 citizens who have been looking for visual treatment at the Centre at the Em 1965, Gashi stressed.
Health Director in capital Bujar Gashi declared for KosovaPress that the Health Ministry has not supplied 18 articles on the essential list, but says that from this institution they have received confirmation that supply will start soon.
Gashi said that despite not being supplied by the MSH, there have been no shortage for patients after they managed to provide these articles with the municipality's private contracts.
He said the two main antibiotics for treating coronary patients are located in the centre where patients with COVIED are treating in Pristina municipality.
We have had some shortages, we continue to have, yesterday I've been informed I'll be supplied with some of them, we've started some personal procedures. There were about 18 articles on the essential list, drugs and preservatives that have been missing for the last three months, yesterday I received confirmation that one of them will only be supplied, initiated a personal procedure, and I'm hoping by the end of next week we will complete it all. There wasn't a big shortage because we haven't allowed them to concentrate or centralize in Emshire that cases with COVID don't fall out and buy in the private sector for basics or essential drugs like we discuss an infusion system, a camera, a canary or something but we haven't allowed that. We've had two major antibiotics, and we've got Cefreaxon and Ciprofloxas. There's been a lack of supply with systems, with the NACl 100 ml, there's been a lack of supply with a sheet of toilet water”, he stressed.
From March 30th in Kosovo has begun vaccinating health personnel with the AstraZeneca vaccine. While, from April 8th, there has been an inoculation of persons over 85 years of age.
