The Joe Biden administration plans to provide at least $235m in assistance to Palestinians.
It is scheduled to continue financing the United Nations agency that helps refugees and restore other types of aid that were abolished by former President Donald Trump.
The package includes humanitarian, economic, security aid and is part of efforts to repair ties with Palestinians who broke down during Trump's mandate.
This is the most significant movement of Biden since his arrival on the occasion of promising to remove some components of Trump's approach, which Palestinians criticized for being strongly in Israel's favor.
The new administration has also pledged to work on reopening the Palestinian diplomatic mission in Washington, reports Bbc.
Beden also hinted that they want to restore the goal of a two-state solution as a US policy priority over the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, but they have been careful so far and will probably expect dust to be resolved after elections in Israel.
