In the morning of April 15, 1999, Serbian forces stormed Zhegoci with an unprecedented arsenal.
It was 5:30 minutes when numerous columns of soldiers and numerous Serbian military arsenals surrounded the village from all directions.
In the clash between the Kosovo Liberation Army and the enemy forces for several hours, eight KLA soldiers and 18 civilians fell to the altar of freedom. The same day in the village of Slovene at the hands of the Serbian enemy, 49 innocent Albanian civilians were killed.
