In order to raise citizens' awareness of implementation of anti-match measures - CO VID, as well as preparation for the vaccine campaign, today the Health Ministry has launched the “Basca campaign against COVID-19”, where it once again said that soon in Kosovo citizens' vaccine against this pandemic will begin.

Task Minister of Health Andmend Zemaj said that through this campaign clear messages are sent to implement anti-maj measures. - CO VID. Also, with this campaign, it is intended to increase citizens' awareness of the vaccine level, which, he said, is expected to start soon in Kosovo.

“The launching of a clear message campaign that called for implementation of measures in force and preparation for further stages of control and fighting of pandemic is a testimony to our common commitment to continue with activities aimed at protecting the public health of our population with a focus on preventing or breaking the chain of further spread infection... The Backa anti-COVIED-19H campaign is evidence of this commitment, and we believe it will have an impact on reducing the number of infections with COVID, raising awareness of measures in effect of hygiene, carrying mask and distance. Also, I will raise the level of knowledge of our population for the importance of vaccine against COVIDD-19, which is expected to start very soon in our country too“, Zemaj stressed.

National Institute of Public Health Director Naser Ramadani said that through this campaign, Kosovo's citizens' awareness of implementation of anti measures is being targeted. - CO VID.

He also stated that with the “Basca campaign against COVID-19”, preparation for the vaccine campaign against this pandemic is also aimed.

 “In the continuation of these activities to prevent the spread of COVID-19 we begin this campaign, or launching the anti-COVID-19” campaign, in order to provide information and awareness of the population for maintenance and strengthening the implementation of preventive measures and preparation for the vaccine campaign against COVID-19 which will begin soon... The campaign aims to further increase and strengthen awareness of the citizens of Kosovo and prevent COVID-19 and implement necessary safeguardary, personal and institutional measures that play public health and save lives. The campaign aims to support even central and local institutions in meeting numerous challenges related to pandemic and co-existence with the virus in a normal”, he said.

The United Nations Development Co-ordinator in Kosovo, Ulrika Richardson, said that now and how long the virus has highlighted the weaknesses we have and where it needs to be worked.

According to her, it's already a critical phase and it's not time to relax, since the health system is tired and respect for anti measures. - CO VID is extremely important.

 We are in a very critical phase, where we are all tired and we are hopeful that the vaccine will come. So we have a tendency like people do to relax a little bit, but it's not time to relax until we can't prevent the virus and protect ourselves and each other, because now it's more important than ever that we don't increase the spread of the virus because the healthcare system is tired. Yeah, it's better prepared now, we have more testing capacity, also as a result of this project we have more knowledge, we have more equipment, but we're tired. So it's more important than ever that we continue with these measures, wearing the mask, washing our hands and keeping the distance”, she said.

The “Baska anti-COVID-19” campaign is funded by the United Kingdom through the British Embassy in Pristina, implemented by the United Nations Population Fund in co-ordination with the United Nations Organization team in Kosovo, the Ministry of Health, I The KSHP and the Association of Kosovo municipalities.

In the last 24 hours of positive coronavirus, 591 cases have resulted, while 7 cases of death were reported as a result of SARS CoV-2 infection. While Kosovo is the only country in the region that has not obtained any doses of the vaccine against pandemic.
